are the minimum hardware requirements?
ManagePoint can normally be run using your existing hardware. Minimum specifications are:
Server – Pentium 4 2.4GHz with 512MB-1GB RAM
With Windows 2000 SP4 server edition or better
Workstations – Pentium 4 2.4GHz with 256MB-512MB RAM
With Windows 2000 SP4, Windows XP Professional SP2 or Windows Vista Business
Typically we store 15,000 – 30,000 A4 pages per Gigabyte.

Are
documents stored in a proprietary format?
No, computer-generated documents are stored in their native
format, such as Word or Excel. Image documents are stored
as standard TIFF files viewable on any Windows PC or Macintosh
using the operating systems own imaging system. You can export
or email a document from ManagePoint to any
user with a Windows PC or Macintosh and the documents source
program can open and view the document.

What
kind of documents can I store in ManagePoint?
A document can be any computer-generated file (either imported
or printed to MP) or a scanned in image. If the document
is a computer-generated file (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
etc.) it will be opened by its source program as long as you
have the source program installed on your PC. An image file
is viewed and annotated using the ManagePoint image viewer.

Is
there any limitation on the number of documents I can store?
No, you are only limited by the amount of storage available
in your computer system.

Can I create totally customised user-defined index which create my own document profiles?
Yes, ManagePoint allows you to create
as many document libraries and sub groups as you wish with
as many user defined fields required.

Is
there any limitation on a document's physical size (i.e. pages,
dimensions, etc.)?
No, we have clients who have stored documents with 4000+
pages as a single document.

Can
I OCR my documents and search through the full text?
Yes, ManagePoint provides you with built-in Optical Character Recognition. OCR a scanned in or printed image document and you can search the full text using the search engine. This is optional and not a requirement for each document. ManagePoint also automatically content summarises each document separately to the OCR option so you can search across all documents for any keyword

I sort and group my documents?
Yes, you can sort using your custom defined groups. The documents are then displayed with summary fields of the results which can be printed as a report.

Yes, you can either insert new scanned in pages or append
them to the end of an image document.

ManagePoint support all Windows platforms?
Yes, except the very old Windows 95 & Windows 98, ManagePoint has been thoroughly tested on all Windows platforms.

I add annotations to an image document?
Yes, ManagePoint comes with a full set of annotation tools including, highlighter, boxes and block outs, post it notes, customised rubber stamps and more.

Can
I export document index data and use it to create reports?
Yes, ManagePoint provides you with the ability
to export the find results to an Excel spreadsheet. The exported
data is then ready for printing.

I archive my data to CD-R?
Yes, you can archive either just document data and leave
your index information on-line allowing you to search for
documents that are stored off-line or store both index data
and document data off-line. Simply use you CD burner software
to copy a Circulate Library to CD-R to store only document
data off-line or copy the entire Group to CD-R to store both
index and document data off-line.

the software easy to use?
Yes, it has been designed for people with little computer experience. Just follow the demonstration as detailed on our web page to see how easy it is. We provided extensive training so that you will get productivity results from day one.
